App tour
cvforge is a desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux) with one job: give an AI coding agent everything it needs to build you live market-analytics tools — the data, the account, the runtime, and a place to see the result — so you can go from “I want to see X” to a working tool in a minute.
The dashboard
Home base is Your apps: a grid of everything you’ve built, with the agent each app uses and when you last opened it. From here you can:
- + New app — name it, pick an agent (or start with an empty shell), and land in the workspace.
- Open — apps you’ve opened before launch in preview mode (just the running tool, no agent burning tokens); brand-new apps open in the full workspace.
- Per-app menu — reopen with the coding agent, publish to the gallery, or delete (with a confirm step).
- Header buttons — Gallery, Shell, Settings, and an update badge when a new version is ready.
What an app actually is
Every cvforge app is a single index.html file in a folder on
your machine, rendered by a local preview server. There’s no build step,
no framework, no cloud runtime. The file uses CDN libraries (Plotly is preloaded)
and the cvApi client for data. That
means apps are portable, inspectable, versionable — and yours.
