A watchlist that fetches research on click

Tickers organised into groups where selecting one pulls its news, analyst ratings, financials and price — a research launcher rather than a static list.
Exact prompt
Create a dashboard that lets me track the following names and groups. When clicking on a ticker I want to be able to fetch news/analyst ratings/financials/price/etc.
Data cadence
Company fundamentals, statements, estimates, insider and institutional filings from the FMP packages, on the provider’s publication schedule.
Plan requirements
Runs on the free cvforge app. Fundamentals come from the FMP packages included on every data plan.
Fields used
income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, estimates, insider transactions
How to read it
The design idea worth stealing is on-demand fetching. Pre-loading fundamentals for every name in a watchlist is slow and mostly wasted; fetching on selection keeps the list instant and spends a request only on the name you asked about.
That also keeps it inside a rate limit. On the free tier, a build that requests everything up front will hit the hourly ceiling with a large watchlist, and this pattern is the straightforward fix.
Change it
The prompt is the interface. Ask for a different ticker, a different expiration window, or an extra column in the same sentence style and the agent edits the app in place — you do not start over, and you do not wait for anyone to build it.
Limitations
- Fundamentals arrive on the provider’s schedule, so the most recent quarter can lag the company’s own release.
- Restatements and reclassifications are not always reflected retroactively in a single series.
- Filing-derived data such as insider or institutional activity is reported with a statutory delay.
